Yelich and Braun Partner with 3rd Street Market to Donate Meals to Healthcare Workers

Baseball stars Christian Yelich and Ryan Braun partner with 3rd Street Market to donate meals to front line healthcare workers.

Healthcare workers on the front lines at four major hospitals in Southeastern Wisconsin will have meals to take home and enjoy with their families, thanks to a partnership between 3rd St. Market Hall, Milwaukee Brewers Christian Yelich and Ryan Braun and several local companies. This is per a press release from the 3rd Street Market Hall.

The meals will be prepared and delivered by Milk Can Hamburgers & Custard, Saz’s, Kimchi – Daikon and Donut Monsterall local businesses that will be food vendors inside the upcoming 3rd Street Market, the food hall in development in the former Shops of Grand Avenue.

Yelich and Ryan’s participation inspired donations from local companies including American Family Insurance, Associated Bank, Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company and Sargento.

“We’re grateful to provide our healthcare workers with a meal to show our gratitude for how much they’ve been doing during this trying time! We’re all in this fight together and will get through it together,” said Yelich.

The donations will start this weekend at Froedtert Hospital, with plans to distribute 1,000 meals to workers. Workers from Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network, as well as Ascension Wisconsin, Children’s Wisconsin and Aurora Health Care, will all receive meals as part of this iniatitive.

Said Braun: “Thank you to all the healthcare heroes, first responders and frontline workers for tirelessly working to keep all of us safe. We are eternally grateful for your selflessness and inspired by your courage and strength.”
