These Six Restaurants Now Have Dog Menus

Benson’s Restaurant Group has new menus designed for dogs available at its restaurants’ pet-friendly patios.

This is pretty doggone good news – if you’re a dog owner. Menus designed specifically for pooches are now available on the pet-friendly patios of a host of local restaurants. The Bridgewater is offering grilled chicken, grilled veggies, and scrambled eggs on its patio. Its sister Benson’s Restaurant Group restaurants – Edison’s, Onesto, Smoke Shack, Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria, and AJ Bombers – likewise have food created for Fido. While you dine, here’s what your furry friend could be eating:


It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

 

The Bridgewater Modern Grill (2011 S. First St.): grilled chicken, grilled veggies and scrambled eggs, served with rice. Also serving a fresh fruit parfait. $9-$12

The Edison (322 N. Broadway): grilled chicken bites with corn and rice; steak and potatoes with grilled steak tips; beef fat potatoes; salad with grilled salmon and charred cabbage. $7-$10

Smoke Shack (332 N. Milwaukee St.): doggy cookies made with sweet potato scraps, oats and peanut butter; frozen yogurt treats; chicken patty made with chicken, rice and veggies ($1-$6). For human parents, there’s a Pups & Pints happy hour every weekday 3-6 p.m. on the patio, featuring $2 off tap beers, $7 cocktails and BBQ snacks.

Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria (249 N. Water St.): The 5-ounce HamBarker burger patty, chicken and veggies (cauliflower and cucumbers) and yogurt with berries and honey. $7-$10

Onesto (221 N. Broadway): beef zucchini meatballs made with ground beef, zucchini, egg, rice and turmeric; and chicken casserole, with chicken, corn, zucchini, peas, potatoes and apple. Also, something called “Vitolato,” featuring Baron’s Gelato peanut butter and banana sorbet. $6

AJ Bombers (1247 N. Water St.): Bomber Bites, featuring an AJ Bomber burger blend covered in cheese and wrapped with bacon; grilled cheese with American cheese on panini bread; and Custard Pup Cup, a cup of vanilla custard. ($3-$6)
