5 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: July 3-6

Beer events slow down some over the Fourth of July weekend, but there’s still plenty of fun (and beer) to be had.

Thursday, July 3

Torzala Brewing is releasing its limited Papa Bräu Munich Helles at Pop-Up Papa Fest at North Prairie’s Veterans Park (132 N. Harrison St., North Prairie) from 3 to 8 p.m. They’ll also have some in bottles to take home.

Try samples from Raised Grain Brewing from 2 to 5 p.m. at both Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) and Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.).

Saturday, July 5

The Wisconsin Brewery Running Series comes to Perspective Brewing (7508 W. Greenfield Ave.). The casual 5K run starts at 11 a.m. Sign up starts at $44.

Sunday, July 6

The Taste of Waukesha County food truck event is happening at The Tap Yard – Waukesha (1927 E. Sunset Dr.) from noon to 6 p.m. Several local food trucks will be there. The Taste of Washington County is also taking place at The Tap Yard – West Bend (4875 County Hwy. Z) from nooon to 6 p.m.

Friday, July 11: Amorphic Beer (3700 N. Fratney Ave.) hosts another Crops on Top beer pairing dinner at 7 p.m. These dinners sell out quickly.

Thursday, July 17: The next big beer dinner at Tess is with Central Waters Brewing. Call 414-964-8377 to reserve a spot.

Saturday, July 19: Vennture Brew Co. (5519 W. North Ave.) celebrates its seventh anniversary with party, of course. In the ‘burbs, Three Cellars (N72 W13400 Lund Ln., Menomonee Falls) gives people a chance to brew a beer with them. For $10 you can pitch in and brew a hazy pale ale.

Saturday, July 26: Milwaukee Brewfest sets up shop on the lakefront for its 15th year. Tickets start at $75.

Saturday, Aug. 2: Wisconsin IPA Fest returns to Third Space Brewing for the ninth year.
