ANSWER:

I like to have a few in my back pocket. They include Odd Duck (the ever-changing menu), Crazy Water (love the Wednesday night $25 pu pu platter), Nessun Dorma (solid, affordable spot for panini) and Bavette (salads, the evolving sandwich offerings).
