Arte Para Todos, a local non-profit organization, will be hosting an exciting local music event from Thursday, April 27 to Sunday, April 30. This four-day series will bring together 90 Milwaukee bands across more than 20 venues, all in celebration of art and music. Event venues include Brenner Brewing, 88Nine Radio Milwaukee, Tonic Tavern, Cactus Club, Club Garibaldi, Lux and Colectivo Coffee. Besides hosting great talent, certain venues will also be offering deals and giveaways.
Arte Para Todos (“art for everyone”) is a volunteer-run non-profit that works to raise money for local school art programs through art-themed events. Initially this organization was conceptualized as a means to combat the defunding of art programs in local schools. APT champions the idea that “culture is an act of will,” and that only through art can a city truly succeed.
Within its first two years, Arte Para Todos raised almost $40,000 with all proceeds going to support art programs in local schools, and all proceeds raised by this year’s event will be directly donated to partner schools.
