Change is in store for the Hi Hat Garage (1701 N. Arlington Pl., 414-220-8090). Owners Leslie
Montemurro and Scott Johnson are closing the Garage for a roughly five-week
remodel beginning March 24. The changes will integrate the Garage bar and
beer garden, according to Montemurro. The partners plan to move the north-wall bar and replace it with a bank
of sliding doors that open to the Garage beer garden. A deck is going in, as
well, to enhance the beer garden atmosphere. Other than that, the Garage (open since 1999) will
be pretty much the same in terms of the vibe and the menus. The Garage is
expected to reopen on May 1.
