Yes, it really is September. But that doesn’t mean the outdoor grill is going anywhere. Third Ward butcher shop Bavette (330 E. Menomonee St., 414-273-3375) isn’t letting a little autumn air get the best of it. Every Wednesday night in September is Burger Night at Bavette. Tonight’s the first one (5-9 p.m.). Cooking is happening outside on the grill. Each week, the half-pound burger is offered with a side ($11.50). Tonight’s burger is topped with bacon-braised kale, goat cheese and pickled radishes, and comes with potato salad. Bavette even has a suggested beverage pairing: watermelon sangria or Ommegang 3 Philosophers beer. Burger Night dates: Sept. 4, 11, 18, 25. (Note: The regular Bavette menu is not offered on Burger Night.)
