Bloodys! Chili! Combo perfecto! The East Town Association is holding its yearly Heat it Up! Bloody Mary & Chili Challenge in a few weeks. The fifth annual event features some 20 local bars and restaurants offering unlimited samples of their chili and Bloody Marys in hopes that their creations will be voted the best. Chili participants include Kil@wat, Hotel Metro, Blue’s Egg, Café LuLu and Café Benelux. In the Bloody competition, we have several of the aforementioned restaurants, as well as Tochi Ramen House and Riverwest Public House. Date and location: Oct. 4, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Cathedral Square Park. Tickets ($30 each) are available to individuals 21 and older. Advance purchase recommended.
