Milwaukee Bucks President Peter Feigin is stepping away from the role he has held with the franchise since 2014.
During his tenure, Feigin, a native New Yorker, spearheaded the development of Fiserv Forum, the sparkling arena that serves as the home court for the Bucks and Marquette University’s men’s basketball team, and surrounding Deer District entertainment area that includes an upscale hotel and concert venue.
Under Feigin, the Bucks captured the NBA championship in 2021, the franchise’s first crown in 50 years and just second ever.
Josh Glessing, a Wisconsin native who served as the chief of strategy and development of Ohio-based Haslam Sports Group, takes over as Bucks president and will oversee team business operations. Glessing will work closely with Feigin in a transitional period over the “coming months,” according to the team.
“Serving as president of the Milwaukee Bucks has been the honor of my professional life,” Feigin said in a statement. “Together with our ownership group, partners, players and an incredible staff, we built something truly special for this city and state. I am incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished and confident that the organization is in tremendous shape.”

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!
In a statement, Bucks majority owners Wes Edens, Jimmy and Dee Haslam and Jamie Dinan credited Feigin for his “vision, energy and relentless commitment that reshaped the Milwaukee Bucks and set a new standard for the NBA.”
In a 2024 interview with Milwaukee Magazine, Feigin reflected on the Bucks 2021 run to the NBA crown and his strong desire to see the franchise reach the pinnacle again.
“Once you’ve won it, you get the addiction of wanting it again. It’s the reality of how great that journey is and what an accomplishment it is,” Feigin said. “Make no bones about it, when you win for the first time, you have no idea what to expect. But then you’d love to repeat that feeling you get again, no question. We had a championship level team. Ownership committed to spending the money and resources and creating a great organization with a goal of winning that championship. Then you win it and you’re like ‘I want that again.’ It was that much fun.”
Since the championship season, the Bucks have struggled mightily in the playoffs, having been eliminated in the first round in each of the past three seasons while dealing with untimely injuries to key players, including superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. The team has also endured multiple coaching changes and the departure of key players, including Khris Middleton, who played a major role in the championship season along Antetokounmpo. Bobby Portis and Antetokounmpo are the only two players remaining from the championship squad.
In naming Glessing to replace Feigin, the owners said they are “bringing in a leader who has been an important part of that success, and this transition reflects both continuity and confidence in the future of our organization.”
Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley issued a statement thanking Feigin for “12 incredible years of leading the Milwaukee Bucks organization to new heights, creating exciting opportunities and inspiring success throughout the community,” lauding achievements on the court and in the community. “As a lifelong Bucks fan,,” Crowley said, “I can confidently say that Peter’s impact in Milwaukee County will be felt for many years to come.”
Born in Manitowoc, Glessing has been associated with the Bucks for more than a decade, most recently leading HSG’s transaction of its acquisition of a shared controlling interest in the Bucks in 2023. Prior to HSG, Glessing worked at Goldman Sachs in its global sports and entertainment investment banking practice, where he worked with Bucks ownership in the financing of Fiserv Forum.
Beginning in 2023, Glessing spent two seasons as the interim president of business for the MLS’ Columbus Crew, overseeing business operations, strategy, partnerships and venue management.
“I am grateful to HSG and the Bucks ownership group for entrusting me with this extraordinary opportunity,” Glessing said in the Bucks’ announcement. “I was born a Bucks fan, and I don’t need to learn what this team means to Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin. I have known it my entire life. The Bucks have an exceptional foundation, and I look forward to continuing to build on our success while staying true to our commitment to winning, providing best-in-class experiences for our fans and delivering meaningful impact for the community.”
Glessing and his wife, Sarah, also a Wisconsin native, have two children, Greta and Charlie.
