New concept alert! The folks behind Uncle Wolfie’s Breakfast Tavern are hosting a pop-up called Nite Wolf. It’s happening Friday-Saturday Nov. 3-4 (5-9 p.m.) at Uncle Wolfie’s (234 E. Vine St.).

Tell us who you’d pick to be a Betty this year!
Heading up this creation is a local guy named Elijah Loebbaka, who’s had stints working at Morel, Third Coast Provisions and also Uncle Wolfie’s. Loebbaka used his Japanese roots as inspiration for the pop-up menu, which features cucumber salad, house-made dumplings and several ramen dishes (including a vegetarian/vegan option). Gluten-free? They can accommodate that, too.
The thing about this pop-up is it’s walk-up only – first come, first served. So maybe come early. But know that it’s not your only chance to check it out. More Nite Wolf pop-ups are coming up, on Dec. 1 and Dec. 15-16. And in 2024, the Wolf people plan to launch regular weekly hours. Follow Nite Wolf on Instagram to learn more.
In other news we need, Uncle Wolfie’s owners Wolfgang and Whitney Schaefer are close to announcing an opening date for The Wolf on Broadway, a restaurant that’s been in development for a heck of a long time.
