PBS Cooking Show Host Lidia Bastianich Coming to Pabst Theater

The chef, restaurateur, author and all-around interesting personality makes a book-tour stop on Jan. 16.

Lidia Bastianich, Emmy Award-winning PBS TV show host of “Lidia’s Kitchen,” is Milwaukee bound. Bastianich – author of many titles including the October 2015 release, Lidia’s Mastering the Art if Italian Cuisine: Everything You Need to Know to Be a Great Italian Cook – has a speaking engagement at the Pabst Theater on Jan. 16, 7 p.m. Om other Bastianich trivia: Besides owning four New York restaurants,  she is co-owner (along with ubiquitous Italian chef Mario Batali and other partners) of the Eataly, the Italian “marketplace” with locations in New York City, Chicago, and Brazil. Tickets ($45 each) for the Pabst show go on sale Friday, Nov. 6, at noon. Click here for more info.

Ann Christenson has covered dining for Milwaukee Magazine since 1997. She was raised on a diet of casseroles that started with a pound of ground beef and a can of Campbell's soup. Feel free to share any casserole recipes with her.
