  • Hold on to your hats: the Rolling Stones are coming to Summerfest as a sort of early bird special on June 23. In more festival news, Ani Difranco and En Vogue will be playing PrideFest.
  • Starbucks has learned the hard way that no one is safe from the snares of Politifact. The expert fact-checkers have verified Starbucks’ claim that 90 percent of the nation’s wealth is held by white people.
  • According to a new report released today, Milwaukee’s traffic congestion ranked 47th out of 53 U.S. cities studied. The next question is, will the $850 million budgeted lane expansion cause the city to fall even further in the rankings? Of the 146 cities worldwide with populations greater than 800,000, Milwaukee ranked 139th.
  • The spay/neuter rate in the North Side Amani neighborhood has gone from nine percent to 50 percent thanks to a Wisconsin Humane Society program, reports the Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service.
  • The New York Times has charted the evolution of gay marriage laws across the country.
