Morning Links for June 17, 2015

New state jobs numbers are in, Gov. Walker keeps traveling, the Golden State Warriors won the NBA Finals and a potential bus driver strike during Summerfest.

Good morning, and welcome to Wednesday.

  • Could there be a bus driver strike during Summerfest? 96 percent of Milwaukee County Transit System bus drivers voted yesterday to authorize their union leaders to call a strike. Leaders meet on June 26 — the first Thursday of the Big Gig.
  • New jobs numbers are in from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Wisconsin ranks about where you’d expect: 35th (during Gov. Walker’s first term).
  • The Washington Post looks into Gov. Walker’s recent travels abroad. He’s currently in Canada.
