Morning Links for July 16, 2015

Aaron Rodgers, Scott Walker, the Bucks arena. Lots of good bits in our morning round-up.

What we’re reading this a.m.:

Our own A-Rod was awarded the ESPY for best NFL player last night at the awards ceremony in L.A.

A UW-Madison professor is in the hot seat for using Twitter to allegedly harass incoming freshmen to the university.

The state Supreme Court has ruled that Gov. Scott Walker’s campaign and conservative groups did not violate campaign finance laws in recall elections in 2011 and 2012.  The ruling will presumably end the John Doe probe.

While the arena funding plan heads to the state assembly, a vote isn’t likely to happen until August because Assembly Speaker Robin Vos is vacationing in Ireland.

Suspected Charleston shooter Dylann Roof is expected in court today. The judge in the case will hear a media challenge to the ban on releasing documents in the case.

Ann Christenson has covered dining for Milwaukee Magazine since 1997. She was raised on a diet of casseroles that started with a pound of ground beef and a can of Campbell's soup. Feel free to share any casserole recipes with her.
