Burnhearts (2599 S. Logan Ave.) is filling barrels of the cocktails that keep people warm during its winter block party Mitten Fest in February. That’s nice and all, but how does the beer drinker benefit? Some special taps, that’s how. The tap list includes gems from Central Waters like Peruvian Morning Stout, Cassian Sunset, Rye Barrel Stout and Unsettled IPA, as well as Founders KBS and Backwoods Bastard Barrel-Aged Scotch Ale. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Hunger Task Force.
Tuesday, Nov. 6
The Uber Tap Room (1048 N. Old World Third St.) hosts a grilled cheese and beer pairing from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Try four beers with four grilled cheese samples. It’s just $15, which seems perfectly reasonable to me.
Erv’s Mug (130 W. Ryan Rd.) is celebrating its 39th anniversary in November. Every Tuesday during the month they’ll tap two rare brews at a 11 a.m. This week Erv’s is pouring a 2017 Goose Island Grand Prestige Belgian Quad and a 2014 Goose Island Bourbon County Stout.
Wednesday, Nov. 7
1840 Brewing expanded its hours recently, and Kyle Vetter is taking his beers on the road. Three Cellars (N72 W13400 Lund Ln.) is hosting an 1840 tap takeover from 6 to 8 p.m. Vetter is bringing some goodies like kegs of Box of Fluffies IIPA, Cheap Cologne Brut IPA and an unreleased brett IPA. He’s also bringing a few bottles of wild ales and sours.
Third Space Brewing brings its medal-winning beers from the Great American Beer Festival to World of Beer (418 N. Mayfair Rd.) at 5 p.m. Try Unbridled Enthusiasm Imperial IPA and Unite the Clans Scottish Ale.
Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) tries out its new crowler machine, and you benefit. From 3 to 9 p.m. crowler fills are $6.
Milwaukee Beer Society member Bridget chooses the beer lineup at the weekly meeting at Best Place (901 W. Juneau Ave.). Get there at 6 p.m. to see what Bridget has in store.
Thursday, Nov. 8
Von Trier (2235 N. Farwell Ave.) hosts a beer dinner with Founders at 6:30 p.m. The five-course dinner includes several beers and dessert with KBS barrel-aged stout. Tickets are $50.
The Wisconsin Public Radio Politics Podcast comes to Gathering Place. WPR begins a live recording at 7:30 p.m. where its experts will discuss the election and take questions about politics. Admission is $10 and includes one complimentary beer.
The Sprecher Walker’s Point Taproom (706 S. 5th St.) is releasing Sprecher’s newest beer, Lightship 57. It’s a session IPA made with Simcoe and Centennial hops.

Saturday, Nov. 10
The seventh annual Kaden’s Wish comes to Champps Americana (1240 S. Moorland Rd.) at 10 a.m. It’s a great event that includes some outstanding auction items and benefits a great cause in Make A Wish Wisconsin. Check out the details on the Champps’ Facebook page.
Gathering Place hosts a Berliner Bash from noon to 10 p.m. The brewery is releasing raspberry, cranberry and cherry blossom versions of its Prenzlauer Berliner Weisse. Also, from 4 to 8 p.m. Döner MKE will be there offering German street food.
St. Francis Brewery (3825 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) is having another limited beer release and it sounds like a good one. Belgian Eclipse Imperial Stout is brewed with Belgian yeast and aged in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. Get there at 11 a.m. to claim one of the 500 bottles available. Each is $13 and the limit is four per person.
