There's no shortage of beer events this week. Schedule your time wisely between the beer releases, tastings and beer dinners.
Monday, Nov. 5
Burnhearts (2599 S. Logan Ave.) is filling barrels of the cocktails that keep people warm during its winter block party Mitten Fest in February. That’s nice and all, but how does the beer drinker benefit? Some special taps, that’s how. The tap list includes gems from Central Waters like Peruvian Morning Stout, Cassian Sunset, Rye Barrel Stout and Unsettled IPA, as well as Founders KBS and Backwoods Bastard Barrel-Aged Scotch Ale. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Hunger Task Force.
Tuesday, Nov. 6
The Uber Tap Room (1048 N. Old World Third St.) hosts a grilled cheese and beer pairing from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Try four beers with four grilled cheese samples. It’s just $15, which seems perfectly reasonable to me.
