One day Mark Mueller was doing what he loved most. He was shredding his board through fresh snow when a fellow rider told him that he “just didn’t look like a snowboarder.” As the wet, baggy sweatshirt-wearing “bro” rode away it hit Mark: I don’t look like a snowboarder because traditional wear (baggy sweatshirts) isn’t functional. That single comment turned a hobby into an obsession: to design the perfect high-performance sweatshirt that was functional but let a rider keep his or her identity. Mark took feedback from other riders combined with his own knowledge from working with retailers to bring his idea to life. Say hello to his company Mue.
High-Performance Hoodies

The sweatshirts boast high performance capabilities with athletic features; 5000-meter water resistance, 3000-grams breathability, high-wind resistance, and a micro-fleece interior for extra warmth. Its strategic design allows for free-arm movement and has additional features like hand-warming pockets, a kangaroo pouch, lower back freeze protection and waterproof zippers. His company has grown and now supplies the cleverly-titled “low performance hoodies”, as well as t-shirts and hats. Not only are they great products, but they are all manufactured in Milwaukee.
Mark and his team also do what they can to help the community. The company created Mue Youth Support to teach children, many of whom would not have otherwise had access to snowboarding, how to snowboard. Not only are the children learning a sport that they love, but they are also surrounded by a positive influence and a place to grow.
