Lets get this out of the way: I know I have a fashion and beauty hoarding problem. It’s ok though, now you can benefit from my sassy ways! Here are top picks of products, brands etc that will make your life easier (and reasons why)!
Top Beauty Products: Hair

Moroccan Oil
Why: I’m a hairstylist and having unlimited access to bleach, color, hot tools etc we tend to have some of the most damaged hair. Recently I drank a few too many glasses of wine and CUT myself a FULL bang in the bathroom with the kitchen scissors. The bangs turned out fine, however I eventually went through the awkward “growing out” stage, and decided to go uber blonde at the same time. Then I definitely abused my flat ironing powers on the sassy strands that wouldn’t cooperate: which led to singed sassy strands (say that 5 times fast!). No one wants a worn out damaged hair stylist so I needed my luster back fast! After searching through all the products I had access to, Moroccan Oil was the only savior. It’s magic oil. Put a dime sized amount on mid-strand to the ends of damp hair and blow dry. Done and done. Shiny, healthy, yummy smelling hair that still keeps its volume.

Bumble&bumble: Spray de Mode Hair Spray
Why: I hate crunchy, unmovable hair. I also hate a frizzy, disheveled hot mess. This allows hair to move and feel natural, while keeping your polished look in humidity. Spray on section of hair before flat ironing or curling. Bonus: It also adds a bit of a glow to your locks!

Bumble&bumble: Brilliantine
Why: Perfect to throw in your purse for a long day. It’s a sexy smelling polishing creme that you run through your ends. It’s like a hand cream for your hair: tames fly aways, moisturizes dry ends and defines. Use on dry hair. Perfecto!

Pureology: Root Lift
Why: It is what is says it is, and unlike many things: it actually works. It sprays out in a foam, rub your hands together and distribute at the root of damp hair.
Top Beauty Products: Makeup
Glo Minerals: Tinted Foundation
Why: no fillers such as talc (which can cause breakouts), doesn’t lay in creases (fine milled minerals that are so small compared to other mineral lines), gives you a dewy natural look all day long, never looks heavy. Very light, concealer is still needed in problem areas. But hey: why load on heavy makeup everywhere if all you need is a little help?

Laura Mercier: Translucent Setting Powder
Why: this is the one thing I can’t live without. Never looks cakey, sets your makeup for all day wear, makes your skin look like porcelain. Set makeup last with this stuff and you WILL be happy with the results by the end of the night.

MAC: Concealer
Why: I use this stuff not only to cover up a blemish or dark under eye spots, but also as a primer for my lids before applying eyeshadow. It keeps the shadow on all day and keeps it from creasing and smudging. Non-oily and this little pot lasts forever.

Makeup For Ever & MAC: Lipstick
Why: This was a draw because they are both phenomenal. Make Up Forever stays on ALL day, and MAC has the best colors however you need to reapply. If these two great lipsticks could be combined it would be the end to all the worlds problems.

Maybelline Falsies: Mascara
Why: It really does look like you’ve got false eyelashes on! It’s non-clumping and delivers full long results. Plus it’s cheap!
Top Beauty Products: Tools

MAC: Makeup Brushes
Why: If you want the best of the best, just go for it. They are the mac daddy (pun!). I’ve had many brush sets from many company’s and nothing ever compares. They hold up when well cared for years, they feel like a feather on your skin, and I can’t get the same results without them!
FHI Platform: Flat Iron
Why: I’ve used it for years on clients and myself and it held up for me through hell and back. Feels like a quality item in your hand, nice adjustable heat setting, it will last you for years. Perfect for curling your hair also!
Beauty Blender: Blending Sponge
Why: I use this after I’ve put on my foundation and concealer. It PERFECTLY blends everything together to give you a flawless canvass. There is a huge difference in my makeup results when I don’t use it. I also use it to wipe away any eyeshadow that may have fallen while applying.
Next up is Part 2! Fabulous Fashions.
