After protesting in front of Boeing World Headquarters in Chicago on Monday, activists took over a boundary street of Millennium Park for the majority of the afternoon. But a rogue group of protestors chose to spend their afternoon in a more light-hearted way. On the other side of the median, they played red rover and group “cuddle buddles,” and drew a hop-scotch on the street with chalk. Their chants took on a more playful and mocking tone, rather than the blunt and more aggressive ones heard earlier in the weekend. They cheered, “This is what anarchy looks like” and “Water boarding is fun you know, party at Guantanamo” as they laughed and cuddled.

Another a couple laid down on the street under a banner that read “Give class warfare a chance” and kissed. The idea caught on and soon couples throughout the group were smooching. Into the late afternoon activists continued to participate in yoga, drum circles, and speeches, until moving on to march and protest against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s deportation practices.
