Chris Zajdel wanted to build a business from the ground up. “I wanted to do something that was not just fulfilling to me, but to others, where I could really make a difference and support guests on their skin health journey,” she says. With years of experience in the aesthetics, spa and plastic surgery industry, she founded Skiin Anti-Aging Lounge in 2012. Skiin provides a wide array of medical, preventative and restorative aesthetic and skin care procedures and services, and the team tailors individual treatments and plans to meet the needs of their clients and guests. “Everything we do revolves around listening to our guests,” Zajdel says. “There’s amazing satisfaction in caring for others in a capacity that can help them feel better inside and out.”

“My mission will always be to provide the best quality of care.”

Q&A

What drives you in your daily work?

My mission will always be to provide the best quality of care. Everything we do at Skiin revolves around listening to our guests. There’s amazing satisfaction in caring for others in a capacity that can help them feel better inside and out. Also, working with our team here. Being able to work with this team is a reward in itself.

What advice do you have for women hoping to open their own business?

Make sure that you have a huge support team. Not just financial support, but emotional too. Make sure that you have a group of people who will stand behind you no matter what. People who can be honest with you, even when you think your answer’s right.
