Why You’ll Want to Make a Mitten Beer Koozie

Keep your hand warm and your beer cold, all at the same time.

Braving the cold for Burnhearts’ Mitten Fest on Feb. 4? Then might want a mitten beer koozie (or two).

The design, which requires knitting and crochet, keeps your hand warm, while the frigid weather keeps your beer cold.

“They’re not hard to make,” says our art director, Chelsea Mamerow, who had no prior knitting experience before making a pair.


It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

 

She recommends thick yarn to make the project go faster, and adding a few extra rows to fit a tallboy can.

“If you like to drink beer outside in a Wisconsin winter, it’s a must-have,” she adds.
