This year, Mother’s Day is on Sunday, May 11, and restaurants in the Milwaukee area are going all out with brunches, tea parties, dinners and more. This Greek restaurant in Brewers Hill – with Giannis Antetokounmpo as one of the owners – is rolling out a special Mother’s Day menu. Served buffet-style ($48 per adult, $24 per child), the menu features a hot meze and main-dish station (such as leg of lamb and mini spinach pies) and Greek desserts, as well as a cold station of Greek salads and cheeses. Moms also receive a complimentary glass of Rosé wine.

Blackwolf Run

Available between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., at the American Club’s Blackwolf Run golf course’s fine-dining restaurant, the Mother’s Day brunch menu ($85 per adult, $35 per kid ages 5 to 12) includes five salads, fruits, crudites, cheeses, sausages, four entrees (avocado toast, grilled citrus salmon, red wine-braised chicken and pepper steak saute), carving stations, an omelet station and desserts (mini desserts and bananas foster).

Dubbed a “Mother’s Day Feast,” this steakhouse inside Potawatomi Casino has rolled out a dinner for two ($120) that includes a 24-ounce New York strip and twin lobster tails, whipped butter mashed potatoes, asparagus and a slice of chocolate cake.

On Mother’s Day, between 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., this Bay View restaurant is offering high-tea service ($125 per person), paired with 10 menu items, with the teas from Milwaukee’s own Rishi Tea and served in ceramics crafted by Kate Riley, wife of chef/co-owner Dan Jacobs. If Mom’s utopia is pairing food with a flick, then this theater’s Mother’s Day Brunch & Movie experience ($39.99 per adult, $19.99 for kids 11 and under) is perfect, screening the Wizard of Oz. Showtimes vary by theater.
