Over 500 Kites Will Fly Over Veterans Park This Weekend

“Let’s go fly a kite, up to the highest height.”

Be ready for awe-inspiring sights at the Family Kite Festival, held May 27-28 in Veterans Park. The soaring 100-foot-long inflatable whale kite you see here is so big, “you could drive a school bus into its mouth,” says Scott Fisher, owner of Gift of Wings, the flight director of this fest for 35 years.
