1. City Limits Run Club
SATURDAY MORNINGS | 3.1 MILES
Recently celebrating its one-year anniversary, this no-cost run club advertises itself to be equal parts a social club as it is a run club. The group meets in different locations throughout Milwaukee every Saturday morning and completes 3.1 miles. They’re known for hosting events after each run that include food, drinks and DJs.

2. Performance Running Outfitters
MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS AND SATURDAYS | 3-6 MILES
This free run club hosts three weekly runs, ranging from 3-6 miles. Each run ends in refreshments and socializing. Every Monday night at 6 p.m. you can find them at Lakefront Brewery for a casual 3 mile run through Milwaukee’s lower east side and downtown river trails, ending back at the brewery for half priced pints. Or you can join them for “Wednesdays in the Ward” and Saturdays for a “Weekend Warm Up Run/Walk,” which ends with pancakes and hot coffee.
3. FEAR Run Club (Forget Everything And Run)
TUESDAYS AND SATURDAYS | 1-3 MILES
FEAR Run Club, hosted by Social X, focuses on diversity, runner safety and encouraging runners at all points in their run journey to join. FEAR stands for “forget everything and run.” This run crew sees running as a way to be active and meet like-minded individuals of all skill levels. The mission of FEAR is to remedy what they call the “brain drain” by encouraging Millennials and Generation Z to build face-to-face connections outside of the internet. It’s not just about health and wellness, it’s about community and relationships for this club.
4. Badgerland Striders
MULTIPLE DAYS | VARIOUS DISTANCES
The Badgerland Striders are Wisconsin’s oldest and largest running club; they have been running since 1959 with over 2,000 members. The membership cost of this club is $25 for a year or $45 for two years, including up to six members per household. Enrollment in this club grants you access to discount codes for places like Goodmiles Balance and Perspire Sauna Studio, as well as free Fun Runs, track workouts, and marathon training plans. 5. Buena Tierra Run Club
WEDNESDAYS AND SUNDAYS | VARIOUS DISTANCES
This Latino influenced run club comes at no cost and meets every Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m. All paces and distances are welcome at this club – walkers and runners included. Start training for your next race or just enjoy the company.
6. The Milwaukee Running Group – OMG
MULTIPLE DAYS | VARIOUS DISTANCES
If you’re looking for non-stop opportunities to run, this is the group for you. Milwaukee Running Group – OMG schedules 16 runs per week, year-round and hosts frequent social events. They welcome runners of all ages and abilities. Their goal is to connect people through fitness, fun and a supportive community. 7. Glacial Trail Runners of Greater Milwaukee
MULTIPLE DAYS | VARIOUS DISTANCES
If trail runs are more your thing, there’s a club for that too. The Glacial Trail Running Group is a mixture of runners of all speeds and distances – perfect for runners of all skill levels. They run year-round, regardless of temperature. New trail runners are welcome and encouraged; road runs will be sprinkled in as well. Membership fees are an annual $6, due at the time of joining and then every year thereafter. Funds go right back into various club activities and events throughout the year.
