Milwaukee is known for custard, cheese and beer. Now, our beloved city can add something new to the list because “The Great Love Debate” named Milwaukee “America’s Best City to Find Love.”
“The Great Love Debate” is a nationally-touring series of live Town Hall-style forums on love, dating and relationships. After visiting 80 cities in North America, the tour-turned-podcast was able to collect information from millions of eligible bachelors and bachelorettes.
With Milwaukee taking the crown, other cities are left vying for the next top spots. Charlotte got an honorable mention, while Denver was named “America’s Worst City to Find Love.” The Colorado capital is apparently filled with passive and awkward singles.
But Milwaukee doesn’t have this issue. Milwaukeeans earned top scores for being attractive, confident singles who inhabit an energetic social scene.
While some of these positive attributes could be attributed to what seems to be a near-constant flow of alcohol, the forum said that all of this is true for our community whether we’re drinking or sober. People are simply comfortable around one another and aren’t afraid to put themselves out there.
