Miller Brewing and The Riverside are Bringing Free Beer, Music to Milwaukee

The headliner is still a secret!

Miller Brewing and The Riverside Theater are teaming up, for the second year running, to bring a free summer concert with a secret headliner to the venerable Milwaukee concert hall.

Last year, the collaboration – aptly named Cheers to Milwaukee – culminated with a surprise show featuring the hard-rocking cover band Chevy Metal, fronted by Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

We don’t know yet who will be headlining this year (if we did, the show wouldn’t be much of a surprise). We do know, though, that the 21+ concert will take place on Friday, June 8 at 8:30 p.m., that everyone who attends will receive a free Summerfest ticket and that Miller brews will flow freely at the venue.

We also know that Miller is surprising community members with free beers in the week leading up to the concert. So keep an eye out for cheerful Miller Employees stationed at bars around town – your next drink could be on them.

“Miller Brewing is proud to be part of these experiences in a city we’ve called home for over 160 years,” says Jim Kanter, MillerCoors General Manager for Wisconsin.

And Pabst Theater Group CEO Gary Witt is happy to be involved too. “The Riverside Theater has played a role in helping to bring Milwaukee back to life,” he says, “And ‘Cheers to Milwaukee’ will be another great reason to come downtown.”

Anyone interested in attending the show can pick up a ticket (required even though the show itself is free) at the Girl in the Moon Gift Shop at Miller Brewing, the Pabst Theater Box Office or the Summerfest Box Office from now until the day of the concert, or until supplies run out.
