Maria’s Pizza Opening on Valentine’s Day

The beloved Milwaukee-style pizza spot will reopen with new owners after closing in June 2022.

For many locals, Maria’s Pizza personifies Milwaukee-style pizza. After Maria’s closing in June of 2022, a local couple are bringing the iconic pizzeria back – and that long-awaited date is Wednesday, Feb. 14. Maria’s will be open strictly for carryout for the time being. The menu will be limited to pizzas, garlic bread and cheesy garlic bread. Carryout starts at 4 p.m.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

New owners Brian and Jennifer Francis bought the business from the founding family and you better believe they have the original recipes, too. Their other business is Mulligan’s Irish Pub & Grill in Franklin.

The couple announced the opening date on Maria’s Facebook page. They’re well aware of Maria’s enthusiastic fanbase and the amount of interest its reopening will generate.  Per their Facebook post:

“We ask that you please be patient as our priority is a true legacy Maria’s pizza and our timing an immediate second. Our crew has been working really hard to make everything the way you remember and we are ecstatic to have the opportunity to serve you and welcome you back to Maria’s Pizza!”

Hours (subject to change): Wed-Sun 4-9 p.m. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

To place an order, either stop into the restaurant starting Feb. 14 or call 414-543-4606.
