Back on March 21, Lucky Lui’s (1664 N. Van Buren St.) announced on its Facebook page that it was closing because of it had “encountered more xenophobic and verbal attacks” toward its staff in the wake of the coronavirus. But in early May, Lucky Liu’s came back and is now offering carryout and delivery daily.
I called several other local Chinese restaurants and either didn’t get an answer or my call went to a voicemail message that indicated that the restaurant had to close indefinitely due to the pandemic. But these local Chinese establishments are currently offering curbside carryout and, in some cases, delivery.
Give them some love through your orders.
