Grilled cheese, nine different ways. That’s what Sprecher Brewery (701 W. Glendale Ave.) is offering at the “Big Melt” on Nov. 10. Chefs from nine area restaurants – Rumpus Room to the Stilt House to Parkside 23 – were each randomly assigned a different Wisconsin artisan cheese for their grilled creation, along with a Sprecher beer pairing. For instance, Zilli’s has Roth Kase caraway brick with a Dopplebock; Bake Street Café’s cheese is Marieke Gouda with fenugreek and Sprecher’s Oktoberfest. The chefs determine the bread, meat, sauce and vegetable addtion. Can you say, “Nummy?”
