Fashion Fest Coming to Third Ward

The retail-heavy neighborhood to celebrate its sartorial shops.

In case you needed another reason to shop, on Thursday, May 7, the Third Ward will be getting its very own fashion fest. Replacing its Diva Night, the Historic Third Ward is now in the process of organizing a fashion festival, with a fashion show at Evolution Milwaukee as the main event.

Stores participating in the show include Bangles & Bags, Metro Eye, Wisconsin Vision, Gallery MKE, Shoo, Brew City Promotions, Clear Water Outdoor, Pendleton, Lizzibeth and Stephanie Horne Boutique. Mainstream Boutique, which opens tomorrow, March 13, will also participate. Hair and makeup will be done by the Institute of Beauty and Wellness and Neroli. And, according to Third Ward Association Marketing and Event Coordinator Katie Kimes, the show will feature a performance from dancers at Fred Astaire Dance Studio.

Although the fashion show is a ticketed event, additional stores will be opening their doors that night and the neighborhood restaurants will surely be buzzing. The bulk of the fashion fun, however, will commence at 4 p.m.
