East Side’s Triple Taproom Has Closed

The joint location of Hacienda Beer, Door County Brewing and 3 Sheeps Brewing opened in 2019.

The Triple Taproom, an East Side venture of Door County Brewing, Hacienda Beer and 3 Sheeps Brewing, has closed.

The jointly owned Hacienda and Door County Brewing announced the closure Tuesday morning. “We’re incredibly grateful for the time we’ve had in Milwaukee – it’s been an amazing journey filled with great food, cold pints and even better company,” the business said in a post on Instagram

The original locations of both breweries – 3 Sheeps in Sheboygan and Door County Brewing/Hacienda in Baileys Harbor – remain unaffected.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

The taproom opened in 2019 under just the Hacienda banner in the longtime BBC bar at 2018 E. North Ave. The Door County brand joined later, and 3 Sheeps joined the location in July 2024, when it was rebranded to the Tiple Taproom.

Grant Pauly, founder of 3 Sheeps, said in an announcement also posted Tuesday morning that the decision to close was made by Door County/Hacienda. “We want to be clear: This is not a reflection of the state of 3 Sheeps Brewing,” Pauly said in the statement. “Milwaukee has always been an important part of our story, and that’s not changing.”
