Debora O’Donnell Blends Fashion and Fiction on Instagram

She pairs her recent reads with voluminous skirts.

Debora O’Donnell judges books by their covers. On Instagram as Oh Apostrophe, the Milwaukee-based former copywriter posts her latest reads while wearing matching voluminous skirts, varying from elegant to playful. But she says “the look is the hook” for her erudite book reviews.

Her words have prompted thoughtful conversations in the comments and friendships with bookworms local and global. O’Donnell usually chooses the book first – often contemporary fiction – and pulls from the many skirts in her closet or what she can find secondhand. She reads about 50 books a year and posts each one out of a passion for the written word.

“I just think, ‘What a privilege to be able to create feelings with words.’”
