The Best New Restaurants in Milwaukee 2025

These five new restaurants have already made an impression in the Milwaukee dining scene.

The Commodore

1807 NAGAWICKA RD., HARTLAND | 262-563-8070 | $$$$

Its first Lake Country restaurant since opening Mr. B’s steakhouse in 1999, the legacy-minded Bartolotta Restaurants created the ultimate destination spot in a landmark Lake Nagawicka property. It has an elegant, upper-crust yacht club feel with a menu blending nostalgia and American classics. Sure bets are the wiener schnitzel, roasted lamb chops and filet Oscar.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

Margaux Brasserie

THE CORNERS OF BROOKFIELD 20107 N. LORD ST., BROOKFIELD | 262-330-5043 | $$-$$$$

Margaux is refined and fun, irreverent and unassuming – deftly appealing to both lunch-seeking shoppers and date-night couples. Solid options range from the croque Margaux to the bouillabaisse.

Himalayan Yak

2321 S. KINNICKINNIC AVE. | 414-312-7223 | $-$$

Influenced by the cuisines of Nepal and North India, Himalayan cuisine offers endlessly satisfying momo dumplings, noodle soups and curries. They’re prepared with such care at this friendly Bay View restaurant. Give it up for the chili momo, Masala chicken wings and aloo bodi tama, a Nepali stew.
