1. Fox Brook Park

2. Granville Dog Exercise Area
This isn’t a traditional dog beach, but the 10-acre off-leash dog park has a lovely landing on the Menomonee River (along with expansive trails and grassland). Don’t worry, the water is shallow and slow-moving. 11718 W. Good Hope Pl., Milwaukee
3. Harrington Beach State Park
Many state parks are cool with dogs on parts of beaches, including this gem along Lake Michigan about 40 minutes north of Downtown. The dog area is about a half-mile walk from parking – just far enough to get all the poops out. 531 County Rd. D, Belgium
4. Doctor’s Park
This park is a good place to get lost, being right next to the Schlitz Audubon Center and hosting a magnificent view of the Lake Michigan shoreline. There are trails both wild and paved that’s meant to make this a park to come back to. 1870 E Fox Ln., Fox Point
5. Kohler Andrae State Park
Home to marvelous sand dunes and a stunning coastline, Kohler Andrae State Park welcomes four-legged friends on leashes to the beach area north of the nature center. 1020 Beach Park Ln., Sheboygan
6. Lion’s Den Gorge Nature Preserve
This nature preserve is full of gorgeous bluffs overlooking the beautiful blue of Lake Michigan and a secluded beach surrounded by an immense overgrowth of trees. Dogs must remain leashed in the Preserve. 511 High Bluff Dr., Grafton
7. Menomonee Park

8. Minooka Park
Minooka Park has a little lake for pups of any shape and size to play in. The space also has two exercise areas specifically designed for pets, providing plenty of room to run on hot days of summer. 1927 E Sunset Dr., Waukesha
9. Muskego Park

10. Seven Bridges
Seven Bridges has winding paths covered in gnarly roots, shaded by enveloping canopies, that leads down to a gorgeous beach on Lake Michigan. Dogs on a leash can go on a magical trek too, wandering through colorful wildflowers and bubbling brooks. 100 E. Hawthorne Ave., South Milwaukee
11. South Beach
This is a sweeping park that can be used to hike back to Milwaukee. Located right by Port Washington’s scenic harbor and downtown area, there is plenty to explore. S Wisconsin St., Port Washington
