Beer Events Brewing This Week: Oct. 24-28

Another big barrel-aged release by Third Space Brewing means it’s probably a good idea to clear up your Saturday calendar.

Wednesday, Oct. 24

Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) releases the second iteration of Haunted Barrel Candy Bar Porter, a brew made with coconut, cacao nibs, vanilla, cinnamon and aged in rum and bourbon barrels. Variants are also available. Each bottle is $20 and limits will be determined depending upon the size of the line. It’s a good idea to get there before the 11 a.m. start time.

Fuel Café (630 S. 5th St.) is hosting Doomsday starting at noon. It’s a Halloween block party and that’s cool and all. But for beer lovers it’s extra special. At the party, Lakefront Brewery is releasing a bourbon barrel-aged Fuel Café Imperial Coffee Stout. It’s the only place you’ll find it and it sounds delicious.

Head to Eagle Park Brewing (823 E. Hamilton St.) for Halloween Hoopla, which starts at 11 a.m. Try a few special beer releases, join a group chug, and feast on a hog roast. Sounds fine to me.

Try samples from Green Bench Brewing at Discount Liquor Waukesha from 4 to 6 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 28

The Brewery Series this month at The Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) is a good one. From 4 to 6 p.m. Raised Grain Brewing is bringing some great brews, including a barrel-aged Black Walnut Anniversary Stout, and there will be oysters to pair them with.
