Company Brewing (735 E. Center St.) hosts a four-course beer dinner and the guest of honor is Matthew Janzen. He’ll be there to talk about his exquisite State of Craft Beer book. Tickets are $69 for just the dinner or $99 for the dinner and a signed copy of the book.
Enlightened Brewing takes over the taps at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) at 5 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 12
Black Husky Brewing is the guest of honor at the Boerner Brewtanical Series, which takes place at Boerner Botanical Gardens (9400 Boerner Dr.). The cost is $15.
Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna St.) releases Ryed of the Valkyries, a dark rye lager.
Indeed Brewing Company comes to Draft & Vessel (4417 N. Oakland Ave.) from 6 to 9 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 13
5 Rabbits hands out samples at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 4 to 7 p.m.
Café Hollander (2608 N. Downer Ave.) hosts Kwaktoberfest from 4 to 10 p.m. and features beers from Brouwerij Bosteels.
Saturday, Oct. 14
1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) opens its doors for a beer release from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The brewery only releases limited runs, so make it a point to get there.
Draft & Vessel (4417 N. Oakland Ave.) hosts celebrates its third anniversary starting at 6 p.m. The occasion means a tapping of Dogfish Head Oak Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout and Founders KBS.
Porters are the subjects of the weekly free tasting at both Three Cellars locations (7228 S. 27th St. and N72 W13400 Lund Lane, Menomonee Falls) from 1 to 4 p.m.
Surly Brewing provides samples to shoppers at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 3 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 15
Journal Sentinel scribe Kathy Flanigan will be at Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.) at 5 p.m. to talk about what it was like to travel around the state while creating her new book, Beer Lover’s Wisconsin. Pick up a copy while you’re there.
