Oh boy. This week the Milwaukee Beer Society is sampling barrel-aged beers at Best Place (901 W. Juneau Ave.) from 6 to 9 p.m. Expect them to be pouring some great stuff. Cost is $15 and you have to be a member to attend. Membership is just $10.
The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.) will be tapping 50 beers from local breweries at 5 p.m. for Drink Brew City, an event put on by Milwaukee Craft Brewery League. More than 20 breweries from the area will be represented. Support the locals.
Here’s a good pairing—beer and comedy. Good City Brewing (2108 N. Farwell Ave.) teams up with Milwaukee Comedy to host Craft Brew Comedy at 7:30 p.m. in Good City Hall. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door.
Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) hosts a tap takeover by Eagle Park Brewing at 5 p.m. The locals are brewing some great beers and aren’t afraid to experiment.
Thursday, Jan. 25
The Explorium Brewpub (5300 S. 76th St.) celebrates its first anniversary with a beer dinner. The fun starts with a toast and seating at 6 p.m. The cost is $50 and you can get your tickets at The Explorium.
Glorioso’s Italian Market (1011 E. Brady St.) hosts its second annual Beer, Cheese and Sausage event at 5:30 p.m. Taste house-made sausages, sample 30 beers and ciders and try curds from Clock Shadow Creamery.
The Fermentorium is bringing samples to Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 4 to 7 p.m.

Hop Haus and Coronado Brewing are the guests of honor at the monthly Brewery Series at Sugar Maple (441 E. Lincoln Ave.). For $20 you get eight samples and get to hear more about each brewery.
