At 5 p.m., Story Hill BKC (5100 W. Bluemound Rd.) is tapping a Uinta Cucumber Farmhouse Gin Barrel-Aged Saison as part of an ongoing preview of the Bar Bites Beer Bash on Monday, Aug. 28. Reserving a spot for the Beer Bash is highly recommended. The event costs $60 and includes food pairings with standout beers from breweries like New Glarus, Central Waters, Bell’s, Door County, Surly, O’so, Lakefront, Deschutes and Uinta.
Wednesday, Aug. 16
The Milwaukee Beer Society spotlights Madison’s One Barrel Brewing Co. from 6 to 9 p.m. at Best Place (901 W. Juneau Ave.). Cost is $10.
Great Lakes and Lakefront team up for a tap takeover and to pour their collaboration, Hoppy Lager, at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.). The tap list includes some barrel-aged and limited brews. The revelry starts at 5 p.m.
The Wild Wednesday Craft Beer Cruise hosts Sprecher Brewery. Choose between 5:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Tickets are just $29.
Thursday, Aug. 17
Lakefront is bringing samples of some limited brews, a few My Turns and Clutch Cargo Double IPA to Matty’s Bar and Grill (14460 College Ave.) from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Raised Grain Pop-Up Beer Garden comes to Minooka Park (1925 E. Sunset Dr.) on Thursday and Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. It’s the next-to-last stop on the summer tour.
Friday, Aug. 18
Lake Louie takes over the taps at Milwaukee’s Craft Beer Garden at Humboldt Park (3000 S. Howell Ave.).
Bell’s hands out samples at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Bofferding and Oskar Blues are bringing samples to Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 4 to 6 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 19
Welcome another craft brewery to Milwaukee at the grand opening of Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) from 3 to 10 p.m. On day one, the new spot is pouring Spirited Debate IPA, Treffpunkt German Golden Ale, Grüss Gott Hefeweizen and Prière Belgian Ale.
Bofferding comes to Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 3 p.m.
Unique beers are the subjects of the weekly free tasting at both Three Cellars locations (7228 S. 27th St. and N72 W13400 Lund Lane, Menomonee Falls) from 1 to 4 p.m.
It’s a big day for samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha. Try Goose Island and MobCraft from noon to 2 p.m. and Bell’s from 2 to 4 p.m.
