14 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Oct. 15-20

Black Husky is releasing Sparkly Eyes Imperial Sproose, an imperial IPA made with spruce tips that is as “piney” as it gets.

Tuesday, Oct. 15

What better place to celebrate National Cheese Curd Day than Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.)? From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Lakefront will be cooking up curds and pouring beers. There’s even a cheese curd pulling competition.

Wednesday, Oct. 16

A Fall Beer Dinner is taking place at Explorium Brewpub (143 W. St. Paul Ave.). Doors open at 6 p.m., and the first course will be served at 6:45 p.m. Reserve a spot for just $85.

The weekly beer release at 1840 Brewing Company is Forest Spirit, a double IPA made with Citra, Mosaic and Strata hops. Both 1840 taprooms are releasing WI Whiskey Fest Barrel Aged Stout on Wednesday and Thursday. The beer is a blend of the base stout aged for a year in three different bourbon barrels.

Faklandia Brewpub (3807 S. Packard Ave.) has an interesting collaboration happening. It’s from 4 to 8 p.m., which means you can try chicken wings made with a sauce by Sammy May’s BeerBQ that includes Faklandia beer in the recipe.

Thursday, Oct. 17

Vennture Brew Co. (2970 N. Brookfield Rd.) has a casual group fun run scheduled for 6 p.m. Participants get $1 off of beer when they’re done.

Perspective Brewing (7508 W. Greenfield Ave.) is pairing four beers with four grilled cheese sandwiches from Shorty’s Grilled Cheese. The fun runs from 4 to 8 p.m. (or while supplies last) and costs $25.

Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) offers samples of New Belgium Brewing from 3 to 5 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 18

Lord Lyon Scotch Ale is hitting the taplines and to-go coolers at all Good City Brewing locations.

Try samples of Pilsner Urquell at Discount Liquor Waukesha from 3 to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 19

Sparkly Fest is happening at Black Husky Brewing (909 E. Locust St.) from 2 to 6 p.m. They’ll be releasing Sparkly Eyes Imperial Sproose on tap and in cans.

Try samples from Duesterbeck’s Brewing Company at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from noon to 3 p.m.

Boulevard Brewing hands out samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha from noon to 2 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 20

Stretch & Sip Yoga comes to Raised Grain Brewing (1723 Dolphin Dr., Waukesha). The hour-long yoga session starts at 11 a.m. and your $20 ticket includes a post-workout beer.

Canine Cupids is coming to Component Brewing (2018 S. 1st St.) from 2 to 6 p.m. for Dog Day Sunday. There will be a dog costume contest, dog photos, pet adoption, and a portion of beer sales benefits the group

Oct. 26: MKE Brewing (2335 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. ) is hosting a 27th Anniversary/Halloween Party. They’ll be releasing Louie’s Resurrection barrel-aged amber ale.
