Happy #WIBeerWednesday!
The Badger Beer Hour returns with a jam-packed livestream of Wisconsin beer news tonight.
Hosts Greg Washington, Landon Cerny and Chris Drosner will visit with Nicole Henzel, the Malteurop Malting Co. sales manager who spearheaded the national Things We Don’t Say IPA collaboration. The collaborative effort, catalyzed by mental health and suicide prevention nonprofit Hope for the Day, Eagle Park Brewing, Malteurop and Hollingbery & Son Hop Co., has grown to some 180 breweries in five countries to raise awareness for mental health in the brewing industry and beyond. Eagle Park’s prototype recipe for Things We Don’t Say also will be this month’s Beer Spotlight.
Cerny will also check in with Eric Rykal, founder and head brewer of Modicum Brewing in Altoona, about what’s happening in his small brewery just outside Eau Claire and his approach to beer.
And the news segment will cover the California reboot of Peoples Beer, some 40 years after Peoples became Wisconsin’s first Black-owned brewery; as well as a new brewery in Racine; and a veritable outbreak of beer truck crashes in Wisconsin. The horror!
Badger Beer Hour begins at 8 p.m. on Drosner’s Twitter, Cerny’s Taproom Travelers YouTube channel and Washington’s Daddy Porter Facebook page. Or, watch it below!
