A Milwaukee Radio Station Is Already Playing Christmas Music

Are you listening? Sleigh bells are ringing.

After weeks of patience, eager waiting and intent listening for the slightest bit of jingle bells ringing through the city, the great mystery of which radio station will play Christmas music first is finally over. “Milwaukee’s Home for the Holidays,” B93.3 FM, is the first radio station in Milwaukee to play Christmas music this year. Let the holiday cheer begin!

The station rang in the holiday season with the classic “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.” The lineup that followed included holiday favorites “We Need a Little Christmas,” “All I Want for Christmas is You” and “A Holly Jolly Christmas.”

“We thought 2020 could use a little holiday cheer!” said B93.3 Program Director Michelle Rutkowski. “After fielding so many emails, social media messages and phone calls from our listeners, we decided it was time to put up the twinkling lights, bake the Christmas cookies, and of course, start playing the most Christmas music in Milwaukee for a better, brighter holiday season!”

B93.3 will now be playing Christmas music throughout the holiday season for anyone to enjoy while hanging their stockings, dashing through the snow, rocking around the Christmas tree or whatever socially distanced holiday festivities to make the season bright.

While Madison’s 105.1 The Mix started their holly jolly jams right after Halloween, we waited to see which station would kick off the holiday season right here at home in Milwaukee (no offense, Madison). And 95.7 BIG FM has not yet made the switch – but they’ll surely bring their holiday cheer to the airwaves soon too.
