OPE! Charlie Berens Will Co-Host a Thanksgiving Variety Show

Grab your folks, crack open a cold one and tune in!

Just in time for a good ol’ Midwestern Thanksgiving, Charlie Berens of “Manitowoc Minute” will be co-hosting Radio Milwaukee’s 414 Live Variety Hour with Ayisha Jaffer. This Thanksgiving special of the station’s new variety show will be on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m.

The show will feature interviews, performances and special talents from sister pop duo REYNA, hip-hop artist Zed Kenzo, soulful rock n’ roll singer Abby Jeanne and bluegrass band Chicken Wire Empire, according to the press release about the special.

Not only will Berens help Jaffer interview the artists, he’ll also chat with Jaffer about his own upcoming projects and “how to cook da bird just right for yer Thanksgiving dinner.”

The live-streamed show will be on Radio Milwaukee’s Facebook, YouTube and Twitch pages.

Radio Milwaukee’s 414 Live Variety Hour premiered in June 2020, creating a space for people to enjoy live Milwaukee music that had previously been scarce due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Beyond interviews and performances, the Live Variety Hour gives local artists the chance to share their hidden talents or creative expression.

This special is the sixth episode in the 414 Live Variety Hours series. For past episodes, head over to the Radio Milwaukee website.
