No, I still can’t tell you how to lift your diamond, but I am getting better at tucking my tailbone. So, what I’m saying is, I am not a natural when it comes to sports that don’t involve running, jumping or swinging. The CoreAlign machine takes some patience and practice, but so do most things with lasting benefits.
I have successfully completed five weeks of training on the CoreAlign machine at the The Lift Pilates & CoreAlign Studio. Each class now gets progressively harder, as we learn new movements that seem a bit more complex with a higher number of repetitions. It actually takes a total of 15 weeks to really control and use the machine to its fullest extent. In case you need a refresher about what I am talking about, click here.
Now even professional athletes are hip to the benefits of CoreAlign. Antonio Brown, a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers uses CoreAlign to improve his performance. See for yourself here.
It’s hard to say if I am on pace to hit my goal, but the CoreAlign is helping my running. I feel strong and well balanced. I’ve gotten up to 9 miles, injury-free, and I am continually thinking about my body mechanics as I run. Every time fatigue begins to push me down, I remember to stand up tall and let the back of my legs propel me forward. This week I will be focusing on speed work now that I feel comfortable with the long distances.
