The National Comes to Milwaukee

The National will play the Riverside Theater Aug. 5, but the band spent last weekend doing something a little different. As part of a “durational performance” by Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson, the band played their song “Sorrow” for six hours in a row. You read that right. Six hours. In a row. The “A Lot of Sorrow” performance happened Sunday at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. We’re guessing their Milwaukee show will have a little more variety. Check out a song from their album Trouble Will Find Me, out May 21.
