Looks like TOCHI (2107 E. Capitol Dr., 414-963-9510) is debuting right on schedule. D-day is this Friday, Jan. 17. The Japanese ramen restaurant replaces Anaba Tea Room in the lower level of Shorewood’s The Garden Room. Anaba’s last day in business was Dec. 29. Since then, they’ve hauling arse to make the changeover to Tochi, which will serve various kinds of ramen (miso, shoyu), congee and other dishes featuring rice, steamed buns, and more. And yes, it will offer many varieties of tea. Hours: Tues and Sun 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; Wed-Sat 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
