The Milwaukee Police Department has a new addition to the force – The Source. The site is meant to fill in the holes where local newscasters and newspaper reporters fall short. Chief of Police Ed Flynn calls it “a public safety news outlet for the community.” But it does seem a little bit like a direct response to some recent coverage. The Milwaukee Police Department has a new addition to the force – The Source. The site is meant to fill in the holes where local newscasters and newspaper reporters fall short. Chief of Police Ed Flynn calls it “a public safety news outlet for the community.”

The Source even got the department some lip service on media commentator Jim Romenesko’s blog today.
