Good morning, and welcome to Monday.
- The University of Wisconsin – Madison had a pretty great Saturday. Tailback Melvin Gordon ran for an NCAA record 408 yards in the Badgers’ 59-24 win against Nebraska, and Madison alums John and Tashia Morgridge donated $100 million to the university — the largest gift from individual donors in the school’s history.
- The Washington Post says President Obama may soon sign an executive order on immigration, setting off a “political firestorm.”
- Gov. Walker’s transportation secretary, Mark Gottlieb, has put forth a plan that increases taxes and fees by more than $750 million to pay for roadwork.
- Reconstruction of the Stadium Interchange and I-94, which could include a double-decker highway, could cost up to $1.2 billion.
- The Packers scored 50 points in back-to-back games for the first time in the team’s 93-year history, Aaron Rodgers has 31 TD passes and zero interceptions in his last 13 home games, and the Pack looks “unbeatable at home.”
