  • China celebrates 11/11 as “Single’s Day,” where you not only relish both sides of the bed and needn’t fear for the safety of your leftovers, you also treat yourself to a single’s gift. Tuesday’s spending topped out at $9 billion in China’s Alibaba online marketplace.

  • A man was trapped for days in the walls of a Colorado Marshalls store. After rescue, the man has been hospitalized and is in fair condition.

  • Folks in the Quad Cities make Milwaukeeans “look like they’re carved out of wood,” said James Taylor at a Nov. 6 Illinois gig, after recently performing in Milwaukee.

  • Two men robbed a jeweler in NYC’s Diamond District on Tuesday, after pistol-whipping the shop’s co-owner. They’re still on the loose, but not for long, says NYPD.

  • Ever been failed by your GPS? My Barbara fails me all the time, but not quite like this. A semi driver in Milwaukee ended up in historic Lake Park, stuck behind the North Point Lighthouse.
