  • Yesterday, the New York Times announced that executive editor Jill Abramson is leaving her job. This morning’s update from Newsweek.com is that Abramson was “fired” for asking why she was paid less than her predecessor editors.
  • Good news about 82-year-old former DJ Casey Kasem. He has been found.

  • Two young boys in New York were “seriously injured” when the inflatable bounce house they were inside of was caught by a gust of wind and carried into the air, causing the children to fall out.

  • A Florida woman says she spent five days in a hospital’s ICU after imbibing a cocktail that contained liquid nitrogen. Her doctors says she suffered “internal burning and tears to her abdomen,” according to Eater.com.

  • One woman says she is “fighting for everyone in fast food.” Fast food workers in up to 150 cities are on strike in an effort to raise the minimum wage.
