The foundation has a huge colony of penguins and many of them are in rehab after a toxic oil spill.   • The Penguin Foundation in Australia has made an urgent plea – for knitters! The foundation has a huge colony of penguins and many of them are in rehab after a toxic oil spill. The little critters need jumpers to stop them from using their beaks to remove the toxic oil from their hides.

  • A new study suggests that Alzheimer’s may be the U.S.’s third leading cause of death. That is apparently surprising news since the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have listed it far lower on the cause-of-death list.

  • Have you been wanting to try Jelly Bellys new beer-flavored beans? A writer at Bloomberg Businessweek wasn’t impressed, comparing their aroma to that of a “dive bar in the morning.”

  • Fitness trackers are tracking something other than mileage. Jawbone, a San Francisco-based company that makes small, tech-savvy speakers, is coming out with an application that helps people track their consumption of caffeine.
