If you’re an East Sider, you may be wondering what the heck is going on with Nadi Plates – the Italian food truck/catering company that had announced back in 2025 that it would open its first brick-and-mortar in the former Crossroads Collective food hall (2238 N. Farwell Ave.). Well, their plans have changed.
Nadi Plates is no longer going to occupy the old Crossroads space. Instead, the owners say they’re taking over the former Pomona Cider Co. (2163 N. Farwell Ave.) a couple of blocks south of Crossroads. Pomona closed in late December 2025.
This news went out on Nadi Plates’ social media Thursday morning, coinciding with email confirmation from Austin Santaniello – his mom, Nadia Santaniello Buchholtz, is the Nadi in Nadi Plates.

Santaniello didn’t share much beyond the location change, saying Nadi Plates had “mutually agreed with the owners of 2238 N. Farwell [which is New Land Enterprises] to part ways on our previously planned location.”
More news to come, including an opening date, once they “finalize concepts and timelines for this new space.”
Nadi Plates, which launched in 2022, has sold its pizzas and calzones while parked outside spots like Third Space Brewing in Downtown MKE. It recently joined the vendor lineup at Zócalo Food Park (636 S. Sixth St.) and also sells its fare at at American Family Field during the Milwaukee Brewers’ home games.
